My Musical Story
Across The Globe
Australia
little begginings
I spent the first few years of my life here, this is where I started learning classical piano and this is where I started vocal lessons. At the age of twelve I ascended a stage for the very first time and I remember my knees literally shaking..

Israel
Hitting the road
My professional career started early, I was one of few to be accepted into the official entertainment units of the Israeli military and found myself touring the country at the age of 18 as a singer and drummer for the next two years of my mandatory military service. I then went on to study at the prestigious 'Rimon School of Contemporary Music and Jazz' in 2003, where I won several awards in composition, arrangement and performance. During this time I released my debut album with my band Mayim Shketim which was produced by legendary Israeli producer Moshe Levi, and was hailed by the press.
Cuba
Broadening horizons
In 2006 I moved to Havana Cuba for six months to study music with some of Cuba's top jazz musicians such as Ramses Rodriguez (Buena Vista Social Club, Ibrahim Ferrer, Chucho Valdés). I feel very fortunate for my time there and even though Cuba was not always an easy place to live in, I will never forget the experiences I had and the amazing teachers I had the privilege of learning from. I returned to Israel six months later to release my second album with my band Mayim Shketim (Silent Waters).

New York
Where Dreams Are Made
in 2008 My life changed for ever. I decided to move across the ocean to NYC with my partner in love and music to pursue our new duo 'Hank & Cupcakes'. The band quickly gained local and national attention appearing in publications such as the New York Post, MTV.com, Huffington Post, Vogue Italy, Rolling Stone Russia. We were signed to BMG record label and toured the United States and abroad for the next 8 years playing festivals and sharing the stage with artists such as The Roots, Placebo, Chris Isaak, Lucius, Of Montreal, Crystal Castles and more.
Berlin
Publishing Deal, Debut Album
In 2011 Hank & Cupcakes was signed to the mammoth publisher BMG and to a record deal in the ensuing year. We spent a month in Berlin recording our debut album 'Naked' at the legendary Hansa Studios in Berlin (U2, David Bowie, Iggy Pop) with Swedish producer Ludwig Boss (Band of Horses) and it was one of the most fun times I've ever had recording music.
"Following their brilliant debut EP, NAKED is Hank & Cupcakes at their strongest. First single “Liquid Mercury” barely scratches the surface..The forty minutes that follow are awe inspiring and prove why Hank & Cupcakes deserve all the accolades they’ve been receiving. Is this the best debut of 2012? Quite possibly."

Atlanta
Music maker and..baker
In 2015 I relocated to Atlanta where I continued touring throughout my first pregnancy and birth of our first daughter. (In fact, my last show opening for the band Of Montreal was 2 weeks before giving birth!). When Covid hit, I like many others turned to bread baking and almost accidentally I found myself opening a micro bakery and for the next two years sharing my breads and other treats that I miss from home with my southern community.

Back to Brooklyn!
Old lovers
In the summer of 2022 I moved back to Brooklyn with my partner in music, love and life Ariel Scherbacovsky and this time with two little girls in tow. I am excited about this new chapter and new musical projects leading me back to the stage. Throughout my musical career I have loved sharing my vast experience with others by teaching vocals, piano and songwriting to students of all ages and look forward to new collaborations!
